Our History
Everyday Genius was founded in 2022 by a small group of educators, tech professionals, and subject-matter experts who noticed a recurring theme among their friends and colleagues: a lack of confidence in handling everyday adult responsibilities. They saw brilliant people who excelled in their careers but struggled with things like deciphering a lease agreement, setting up a secure home Wi-Fi network, or planning meals for a week. They realized that while traditional education prepares us for a profession, it often fails to prepare us for life itself. This shared observation sparked an idea.
What began as a series of informal workshops quickly grew into a vision for a comprehensive online platform. The founders pooled their expertise to create a curriculum focused entirely on practical, applicable knowledge. They spent months developing the first set of courses, ensuring each lesson was clear, concise, and genuinely useful. Launched from Vancouver, Canada, Everyday Genius was built on the principle that learning these skills shouldn't be difficult or intimidating.
